PCOS and weight: Typically, it may be harder to lose weight with pcos due to the male type hormones that are produced. Still, you can manage the symptoms and the severity by sticking to your dietary, exercise and nutritional goals.

The normal way: Watching calories always helps. Hopefully, you are using metformin which has a dual benefit of controlling Insulin resistance and promoting weight loss.

100 cal/day rule....: Rather trying to calculate how much you eat daily, and try to eat less remember that eating 100 cal/day less, each day, times 1m will cause drop of 1 lb. M. So if eat 2 pieces of bread less each day, or its equivalent, you'll lose 2 lbs / m.

No special way: You lose weight with pcos the same ways as people who do not have pcos: exercise, diet, behavior therapy, (sometimes) weight-loss medications. There is nothing unique or special about weight and pcos.

Yes: Women with PCOS respond to weight loss via calorie counting. Diet should be first then exercise. You want a low calorie diet: Weight watchers, counting calories, etc. The goal is to break the cycle of increased insulin levels associated with the elevated calories. Usually you want to be eating 1200-1400 calories to lose weight. Once the weight is off then increase to a maintenance caloric amount

Caloric Restriction: Caloric restriction diets like Weight watchers and calorie counting are the only type of diets that help women with PCOS. MRSA is an infection and has nothing to do with dieting.
