Variety of Causes: Most often people think pins and needles, or the arm falling asleep automatically means carpal tunnel. This is often misdiagnosed. A cervical disc bulge/herniation, Thoracic outlet syndrome and peripheral nerve entrapments should be considered. Start with conservative care with your chiropractor. If it does not resolve, an MRI, and/or EMG/NCV may be necessary. Specific wrist guards may help.

Fairly benign: Most often represents a postural compression of a nerve in your arm, and more commonly at wrist, less often at elbow. Not a bad idea to have your doctor inspect it and perhaps do some testing to confirm location and severity.
