First intercourse: "virginity" usually means the first penetration of the ring of the hymen by a man's penis. But the concept is a cultural construct and really has meaning only to the person involved. Whatever life brings you, and however perfect or imperfect your experience may have been, i hope you will always cherish the love you've given and received.

By definition: You can become looser, lose your hymen many ways, but by social definition, losing your virginity means there has been sexual intercourse. Due to changes in social more or norm, it has been defined as the insertion of a penis into the vagina as a woman losing her virginity. It has also now its own sexual connotation in the gay lingo.
