Talk to doctor: You need to have an appointment with your treating physician. There is not enough information to know why you are taking the Abilify and geodon, (ziprasidone) what doses, and so on. You may need some medicine to sleep, or a careful sleep evaluation. It may be a complex situation, so make sure you have plenty of time with your treating physician to carefully go over all of your concerns.

Geodon (ziprasidone) and sleep: Both Abilify and Geodon (ziprasidone) are used for the same issues. Abilify is generally not helpful for sleep since it has so little sedation. Geodon (ziprasidone) can be an excellent sleep. Inducer as well as stabilizing mood. Remember that Geodon (ziprasidone) requires food to be absorbed-it is best taken after a meal. We generally do not prescribe 2 medications in the same class. Talk to your prescribing md for solutions.
