Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a widely misunderstood and misdiagnosed condition that causes pain and fatigue. There's no magic surgery or medicine that can fix your condition, but there are treatments that can really improve your quality of life. It can be provided by your pcp, neurologist or pain management specialist, mental health provider.

Fibromyalgia: Pain in muscles that are not inflamed (normal blood work) coupled with non-restful sleep and daytime fatigue suggests fibromyalgia as the diagnosis. See your primary care physician first. Good luck.

Specialist: If you have not seen a specialist, then now is the time. Your primary physician may not have run a comprehensive body of blood tests. I would recommend seeing a rheumatologist, neurologist or physiatrist for further evaluation. If you have other systemic complaints like fatigue, gastrointestinal or urinary issues, you may have fibromyalgia. Other disease process needs to be ruled out.
