Anemia: Sickle cell is exclusively in blacks and if severe would have manifested from early childhood. A simple hemoglobin electrophoresis should tell you if you have any genetic defect. Otherwise, there are other types of anemia that are way more common - iron deficiency, hemorrhagic, aplastic, b12/folic acid deficiency, anemia of chronic disease etc.
