A week or two: The acute withdrawal (aches, pains, nausea, diarrhea, anxiety, insomnia etc.) last a week or so and gradually improves. Some post-acute withdrawal (paws) may last several months with milder versions of the same symptoms, esp irritability, jitteriness, jerky muscle movements, sleep problems, but usually fully clear within 3 months, with very gradually decreasing symptoms - most people in less time.
