Yes: Hepatitis a is usually a limited acute illness, related to ingestion of the virus from someone else that was infected. The course of the acute hepatitis is variable but can be from 1-3 months. During that time, avoid any toxic products that can affect the liver, such as alcohol, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, limit ingestion of large fatty meals.
