Take your Meds!: Thyroid health and balance are critical for pregnancy and fetal health. Even mild elevations in TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) can increase the risk of miscarriages. Tsh rises when you are hypothyroid. Taking thyroid hormone can lower TSH and lower the risk of miscarriage and birth defects. Take your thyroid hormone as prescribed and follow up with your doctor.
