However, much of that could be because women are screened far more often than men because of gyn appts and testing. Others like syphilis are 6 times more likely in men than women. Just depends on the std discussed and the person.

STDs: Stds can and do occur in both men and women. Since it is common for stds (sexually transmitted diseases) to occur due to sexual intercourse/activity, both men and women are potentially infected.
