Not normal: Cough that has been going on longer than 4-6 weeks is considered abnormal. There are many reasons for chronic cough including asthma, post nasal drip from allergies or sinus infection, post-infectious or even ge acid reflux. In pregnant women, other causes of chronic cough need to be considered including cardiac reasons. It would be important to see a cough specialist for further evaluation.
