i feel extremely sleepy after lunch. my father and uncle have diabetes and my grandfather had diabetes. any connection? please help. i'm worried. 18yr

Sleepy: Fatigue post eating can definitely be a signal of blood sugar and Insulin issues. I would have your physician check your blood for fasting blood sugar and Insulin and then 2 hour post prandial (after 80 grams sugar) blood sugar and Insulin levels. I would also check triglycerides and vldl levels. This combination will usually pick up early issues.

See your GP: First see you gp. After evaluation he may need to refer you to some specialist. Your symptoms do not necessarily mean diabetes.
