Hypothyroidism...: Hypothyroidism means that there is an under active thyroid gland. The treatment is to replace the thyroid hormone. Blood tests will be done about every 4-6 weeks so the dose of thyroid hormone can be adjusted until the right dose is reached. Once that happens, the blood tests will be done less frequently.
