Not likely: Other than pregnancy, it might be that you didn't ovulate for a cycle. As the lining of your uterus gets thicker, it may break off as spotting. Spotting can be from light pink, to red, to brown. Check a pregnancy test first and if negative call your provider. You may need a Provera (medroxyprogesterone) withdrawal or you might want to consider a birth control pill to control your cycles.
