Yes, it can: But other causes are more likely. Usually, gallbladder problems cause fever when it progresses to acute cholecystitis. Depending on how long you have had the fluctuating low grade fever, ask your doctor if he can find other causes of it, such as infection, inflammation, or even malignancy.
