Continuous : Taking birth control continuously is a common safe strategy to avoid heavy painful periods. This cervical erosion should be evaluated separately by an obgyn.

Probably not: There are several brands of birth control pills on the market that are fda approved for extended or continuous dosing. There have been no medically identifiable side effects from taking birth control pills this way. Having said that, some people do develop bothersome side effects like low libido, breast pain, or weight gain when they take pills continuously.
