Possible influenza: Your symptoms sound very suspicious for influenza, and since it is epidemic around the country right now, that takes it to the top of the list. It is not unusual for symptoms to persist for up to 10 days. If you are past the first couple of days, there are no meds that are going to do much to shorten that duration. Take Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) for body aches, listen to your body and get extra rest.
