Can pleurisy be healed on its own ?

Possibly: Pleurisy is an inflammation of the pleura, the lining of the chest wall around the lungs. There are many possible causes, but one of them is viral pneumonia. Viruses mostly just need time to resolve. You should be checked to make sure you don't have one of the other underlying causes that do require treatment however.
