A member asked:

Possible malignant tumor in right hand. if it's malignant will i need chemo after surgery? also how long would it take to recover from amputated pinky

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on the cause: There are several different types of cancer which can affect your hand. It could be a sarcoma of the soft tissues or of the bone. The treatments typically include surgery if it is small tumor. Chemo is only used for large tumors or if the tumor is highly malignant. Healing of the finger should not take more than 2 to 3 weeks.
