Wrong Sphincter: The sphincter of oddi is a muscular valve that controls the flow of digestive juices from the pancreas and gall bladder into duodenum. It is not part of the urinary tract. That said, it is not uncommon for a UTI to cause spasm of the bladder neck and urethral sphincter interfering with normal urination: hesitancy, intermittency, weak stream. This will improve with antibiotic treatment of your uti.
