A member asked:

My thyroid levels are normal but my thyroid gland fluctuates in swelling. have a list of symptoms and cysts on my thyroid. what could be causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common: Small cysts and nodules of the thyroid are common in the population, especially in women. As long as they are small, they have no clinical significance and can be followed. It is unlikely that your thyroid fluctuates much in size from day to day or even week to week. Sometimes people have a feeling in their neck or a fat pad that appears to change, but it is not their thyroid.
