Location dependant: Depending on where a stress fracture is and how severe the symptoms the patient is having really help tailor our treatment. In the feet, the most common location is a metatarsal. We often let patients ambulate in either a surgical shoe or protective boot for 4-6 weeks.

Rest: Stress fractures are caused by repetitive activity. The best way to treat these fractures is avoiding the aggravating activity. They tend to heal in approximately 6-8 weeks.
