A variation of: The recommendation by dr. Schneider is to express your apology in person. Sometimes i apologize to someone even if i never had any intent to make them feel bad. Why? Because whether my intent or not - they were hurt. You will usually feel better after making an appropriate apology. Remember that just because you apologize doesn't mean that the other person will necessarily forgive you. Take care.
