Depends: If depression is not responding to ssris, then Effexor (venlafaxine) might be a good choice. I usually try 3 different antidepressants at least before effexor (venlafaxine). Effexor (venlafaxine) works well, but has side effects if you miss a dose.

Its side effects can be Anxiety and Agitation. Therefore, this is not the medication for you. Mild depression can be treated by Therapy with good results. For Moderate depression, see a psychiatrist for: -Lexapro or Wellbutrin and Therapy for stress.
