How long will it take to for me to project my voice after total thyroidectomy? my doctors states he hears an improvement but the level is same to me.

Hoarseness: Generally, after total thyroidectomy your voice should be completely normal. This may indicate that there is a temporary issue with your vocal cord mobility. Or, it could be related to some inflammation of your vocal cords from the breathing tube that was in your throat during surgery. It may take between 4 to 6 weeks to get back to normal.
