Broke skin: A human bite can cause infection if the skin is broken because the mouth is loaded with germs.

Worry: Yes human bite can transfer bacteria, even through fabric. Swelling may be due to the trauma, or tissues may be infected. Is Tetanus vaccination up to date? Your child should be immediately examined by his pediatrician or a Urgent Care.
