See answer: Good hygiene and wash with mild non-allergenic soap and water and avoiding any potential chemical irritants (spermicidals, lubricants, fragrances, colored or scented tissue paper, etc) is generally all that is needed. Can also apply short-term a topical over-the-counter 1% Hydrocortisone cream twice a day.
