Oligohydramnios: Low amniotic fluid is a serious complication of pregnancy. In many cases the cause is unknown but some causes are ruptured membranes, medications, hypertension, drug use, placental dysfunction and others. In severe cases delivery may be warranted to prevent stillbirth.
