Possibly: The term "ligament injury to the wrist" is so broad that it may describe a simple sprain to the wrist that may get better in a few days, or a serious tear in the ligaments that may require surgery. It is concerning if you are in a lot of pain and your wrist "pops". At a minimum, a detailed exam and x-ray should be done with consideration for an mri. Thank you.
