A member asked:

What effects can dehydration have on the mouth? can it cause sores?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not sores: Chronic dry mouth is a symptom and sign of some systemic disease. If it so persistent as to cause sores then special attention to diseases like sjogrens syndome, behcet's and lupus need to be considered. Please see your doctor for a complete evaluation.
