It depends: There is just not enough information in your question to answer this. If you tested before your period was due then it was too early. If you tested after a period was missed and at least fourteen days after the sexual encounter then it is likely to have been accurate.

If you missed: A period do a second, highly sensitive first voided morning urine test in two days. Or have a blood pregnancy test done.
