Have it checked: How long ago did you scrape your mouth? Did you get an open sore from the scrape? Best thing to do is to have it evaluated by a dentist or an ear nose and throat doctor to see what it may be. It may just be coincidence that the bump is there, perhaps a clogged salivary duct, depending on where it is on the palate?

Hard lump: Lots of things cause hard gums on the palate, most often a Torus (benign) (look it up), seen in up to 25% of the population. But there are many other possible causes. So best thing to do is to be examined. Your General Dentist should be able to diagnose and, if necessary, treat or refer you for treatment.
