2nd opinion needed: If you are having the rectal pain with need to poop, and have not gotten any solid answers, it time to consult your pcp doctor, who can refer you to a proctologist, who can measure the pressure of your rectal sphincter to see if it's working or not. Mag citrate makes you poop more, aggravating the issue more than helping it. Discuss this with your doctor. Also a stool analysis may be useful.
