Allergies???: Could be many triggers- nutrition, allergies, meds, mouth breathing, etc. I would possibly make a diary reflecting what you eat, drink, activities, meds, supplements. But first, i would see a dr. To discuss options and possibly tests.

Dryness: It sounds like you are in a very dry environment which dries your mucus membranes and this makes you susceptible to infections and blocked feelings in nasal passages. Lower your thermostat and/or add a humidifier in your home. Warm salt water rinsed for nasal passages and apply vaseline to cracked lips.
