Kidney Stone: Most common cause for flank pain (below your shoulder blade) with pain into groin area would be a kidney stone. There may be some blood in your urine that you can see or only detected on microscopic evaluation. Double up on fluids for a few days, if the pain persists get to your primary care physician or obg for evaluation. Sometimes a special x-ray called an ivp or a ct is necessary to confirm.
