A member asked:

Is there a safe way to delay ovulation in a normal cyle by just a few days?

Not to my knowledge: There are medications that stimulate ovulation and medications that can pevent ovluation over the course of a month or more but I am not aware of any treatments that can delay it for a few days. A gynecologist would be best to answer this question.

Possibly: By taking Clomid (clomiphene) starting on day 5 you can sometimes push the day of ovulation a couple of days later. This is not foolproof. It is more likely to work if you have a very short cycle and ovulate early and are trying to ovulate closer to day 14. There is a 5-10% risk of multiple birth (mostly twins) so it is not without risk.
