May disappear: I am guessing that you have had this evaluated and your ophthalmologist says it is a benign vitreous floater. These tend to hang around for a long while, sometimes years. There is no medication to remove it and while surgery could do this, it is quite risky given the minimal disturbance of most floaters. A few are anteriorly placed and can be fragmented with laser.
