What exactly does the anesthesiologist do in the emergency room/trauma center?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many roles in the ER: Anesthesiologists have many roles in the the er / trauma center. There is also a lot of overlap and cooperation in this setting with the emergency physician. The anesthesiologist can assist in difficult airway management, deep sedation for procedures, and difficult lumbar puncture procedures. They are highly trained professionals whose services may be called for in the er if the need arises.
