Protein: By making sure you eat protein with each meal, and as between meal snacks, you can decrease your hunger and therefore inappropriate snacking. Also, look up 'high satiety foods'. These are foods that make you feel full longer after eating, usually because they are harder to digest. Medications can work as well, but i find they have a high failure rate.
