Could there be complications with a woman taking hydrocodone while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: To the baby, if she is on regular doses on a daily basis. If it is taken for a short period of time in therapeutic doses (like 2-3 days for an ankle sprain or some other pain), it will not cause any problems. However, if a woman is taking it daily in doses of 4 or more pills a day, it is likely that the baby will be born with at least a mild dependency, and higher doses moderate dependency.
