Can i use vicodine (hydrocodone) during pregnancy for extreme pain?

Consult your OB: It isn't normal to have extreme pain during pregnancy. Did you have chronic pain before you became pregnant? The key thing is to diagnose the source of the pain, and treat it if necessary. Vicodin just reduces pain without treating the cause. Don't take any meds, for pain or anything else, without discussing with your OB doctor. Vicodin could be OK, but you need to make sure. Good luck!
