Nobody really knows: But there have been some very severe reactions to overconsumption of some energy drinks, and a handful of reports of severe reactions even with recommended dose use. However, these beverages contain lots of caffeine, which may be the major cause of problems, as well as ginseng, taurine and other vitamins, as well as sugar. Ginseng itself, in recommended doses, does not seem to have toxicity.
