Please advise what is the best way to get rid of a red and itchy eye?

Presevative free : Artificial tear drops like refesh or systane. Treat the itching with zaditor (ketotifen) - an over the counter drop for this purpose. There is an allergen that you are reacting to , see if you can identify it then stay away from it.
