A member asked:

What are the common causes of loss of balance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infection, infarct.: Loss of balance can occur due to inner ear problems or due to specific lesions in the brain (the cerebellum). These problems can arise from viral infections or malignancies or infarcts. The best thing to do is to not attempt to self diagnose but to see your primary physician or a neurologist for further evaluation.
