A member asked:

How can you treat anisometropia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends : Anisometropia occurs when the basic dioptric power (lens power) of each eye differs by more than 5 units. This creates two images too different in size for the brain to put them together. A contact lens in one of the eyes can minimize this difference and allow binocular function. If the difference is too great for that some form of refractive surgery is the only means to equalize images.
