Better Vision:): The first few days after surgery may be somewhat blurred, however, some patient see better immediately. Best vision may require a spectacle rx, depending on the type of implant you were a candidate for, and which one you selected. You should experience no pain. Make sure you use your drops as prescribed and do not rub the eye or lift heavy objects immediately.

After surgery: Typically after surgery, the day of surgery the eye may be a bit scratchy and a little red. The vision may fluctuate from very blurry to very clear, or somewhere in between. There really should not be any pain, just some scratchy, maybe foreign body sensation. The morning after surgery, most symptoms should be resolved, with mild blurred vision that usually clears in less than 48 hours.
