A member asked:

I would like to know what is an slp or s/p vp shunt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Event done: S/p means status post. It refers to naming an event usually in a medical record that has already happened. Thus s/p hernia surgery would mean that hernia surgery had been done in the past and s/p vp shunt means that a ventricular-peritoneal shunt has been done on that patient.
