Dr. Steven Brown answered

Specializes in Hand Surgery

Radial nerve: Drop wrist is a radial nerve palsy, as the radial nerve supplies the wrist and finger extensors of the forearm. Specifically the posterior interossous nerve is effected if injury is in the forearm, In the humeral area it is the full radial nerve, or can be at the brachial plexus or nerve root area.
