Removing mole: If you are referring to a doctor removing a portion of a mole, this is exactly what occurs when a skin biopsy sample is taken from a larger lesion (mole) to determine if cancer is present. At times a mole may be partially accidentally removed if it "catches" on something or is scratched or pulled.
