Depends on how deep : Of course I am assuming the offending material has been well washed off. Redness, like a sunburn, can often be treated with a mild steroid. Blistering may require a burn cream. Third degree might require surgery. Best to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in person for a true evaluation and plan.

I have a small burn on my hand that's reached the itchy, flaky stage. What's the best way for me to speed up healing? I've been keeping it covered and using Neosporin, but it's made the skin very soft/spongy.
